I have been a member of ASCLS since I was a student. I attended the KU Medical Centers CLS program where I did both the CLS and the Molecular. Promoting the Laboratory profession is a priority to me, which is why I participate in the Promotion of the Profession Committee in ASCLS-Kansas. As a part of the PPC I designed a sticker showing pride in being a Medical Laboratory Scientist that we sold as a fundraiser to other Medical Laboratory Scientists in the US. This promotion of the profession reached 34 different states. I am currently the chair of public relations for ASCLS Kansas, Representative at large for ASCLS-KS, PAC Chair and an ascending professional forum councilor-at-large.I am most proud of the trifold Clinical Laboratory Science brochure that I created and hand delivered to multiple local area high schools and a community college in the Kansas City area.
